• I started wing chun with sifu Scott over 10 year ago, initially to improve my coordination and reflexes to improve my Surfing: which it reslly did. As my work world got increasingly crazy, i found that thet the mind-body aspect really helped with keeping down stress. A few years ago a the physical confidence provided by wing chun was super useful in staring down a pretty sketchy sitation on a late night metro in Paris. now I’ m really interested in the biomechanics, animal-brain reflex training and proprioception aspects. It been a great journey so far, and I’m really greatful to sifu Scott and my fellow instructors at the MonaVale school for working through it.
